Graves & Sauternes

The Birthplace of Bordeaux wines

Along the left bank of the river Garonne, east of Bordeaux towards the city of Langon, the vines, dating back to the first century, take advantage of the riverside’s gravelly soil, locally named “graves”.

The vineyards of the Graves and Pessac-Leognan denominations, jealously preserved nearby the large contemporary Bordeaux urban area, sport their glorious banners, such as :

Haut-Brion, Pape-Clément, Smith-Haut-Laffitte, La Louvière, Carbonnieux…

Their delicate, elegant red wines as well as their dry and exquisitely fruity white wines will delight wine lovers.

After your visit to these historically significant domains, we will take you toward their no less renowned liquored sweet white cousins in the Sauternes : Suduiraut, de Malle, Guiraud, Filhot, located around the foot of the hill at the top of which the great Yquem presides.

And then, still, the mystery of the golden Sauternes will manage to work its magic upon you…
